Hi, I’m Douglas Soares, founder of Happy Tails Mobile Pet Grooming. With over 21 years of experience in the mobile pet grooming industry, my passion for animals and dedication to quality care have been at the heart of everything I do.

Every pet I groom is treated with the same care, patience, and respect as if they were my own. Over the years, I’ve developed a deep understanding of dog behavior, which helps me create a calm, comfortable, and positive experience—even for nervous or anxious pets.

At Happy Tails Mobile Pet Grooming, I personally train and work alongside our small, dedicated team to ensure every groom meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and compassion. My daughter was visiting with her dogs and one of her dogs refuses to let anyone trim her nails. Doug came to the rescue and had her nails trimmed and filed within 5 minutes. We met the owner, Douglas, many years ago when I was referred to him (at the time, I had four dogs)!  I have very sensitive doggies and Doug, along with his assistants, have always shown such love toward them and been very cautious with their allergies and personalities. They stink and then they smell wonderful. Their nails are perfect. He brushes their teeth and does all of the extras. We have everything from Frenchies, Chihuahuas and Bully breeds that Happy Tails has groomed. Their truck is immaculate, their timing is on point and their compassion is beyond measure. We certainly went through our trial and errors with other mobile groomers. We have been with Douglas for over five years and I wouldn’t trust my fur babies with any other. The grooming is top notch and all services (ears, nails, glands, etc.) are first class.  Its a relief to know my dogs are safe and being handled with care, especially as they grow older and become more fragile.  They always come in looking and smelling amazing, so we're all happy!
